New report on doing business in South Korea launched

South Korea: An Opportunity for New Zealand Business was launched last week to coincide with the second round of free trade talks between New Zealand and South Korea. The report is intended to create a sound base of knowledge to assist current and future business success in South Korea. The full report can be downloaded here.

Asia:NZ-led delegation visit China and Japan

A delegation of New Zealand academics and former diplomats travelled to meetings in mid-September 2009 with counterpart ‘think tank’ organisations in China and Japan. Members of the delegation, which was led by Asia:NZ Executive Director Dr Richard Grant, reported back to Asia:NZ Online on their impressions of the discussions.

Kiwi journalist gains from Cambodia experience

Michael Fox won an Asia:NZ scholarship as a graduate of the Massey University School of Journalism to go on an internship at the Phnom Penh Post. Asia:NZ/Taipei Artist Village Artist’s Residency

A residency opportunity of up to three months in Taipei for a New Zealand contemporary arts professional is being offered by the Asia:NZ and the Taipei Artist Village. Upcoming Educating for Asia scholarships deadlines

Two prestigious scholarships are currently being offered by Asia:NZ. Singapore Scholarships provide a unique opportunity for New Zealand students to further their studies in a world-class university, the National University of Singapore, all expenses paid. Closing date for applications is Friday 20 November. The David Holborow Memorial Scholarships are for undergraduate study at New Zealand tertiary institutions.  Closing date is Friday 13 November.
