President's Blog
On Friday 24th June, the 2010/11 Council met face to face for the last time with me at the helm. While I still technically had 6 days as President of LIANZA, this was an excellent opportunity to formally hand over the pounamu to Jane Hill as incoming President. This beautifully carved piece of greenstone is a symbol of leadership. The mana and wisdom of previous Presidents who have worn the pounamu is transferred to the new President. Following the handover, Council enthusiastically sung the LIANZA Waiata.

I hope you are enjoying Librarylife in it’s current format. After just over seven months producing Librarylife fortnightly, I’ve come to realise that producing, sourcing and collating content and “copy” is demanding work.
It's something that I cannot personally sustain as a volunteer every fortnight.
