Continuing the trend in recent times, a number of seminars have been oversubscribed. As usual, we encourage you to register early to avoid disappointment.

Medication Non-compliance - 21 May 2009

Presented by Chris Budgen, this seminar will examine the key factors resulting in patient non-compliance; both health system factors as well as behavioural. The day will include sessions to work through behavioural change options and some of the practical tools which have been found useful in improving patient adherence.

Management of Acne - 9 June 2009

Facilitated by Jacqui Virtue, this is a re-run of the successful April seminar and provides a wide ranging update around acne management in primary care.

Clinical Pharmacology for Nurses and Allied Healthcare Professionals - 10 July 2009

Facilitated by Felix Ram, this seminar will cover clinical pharmacology as it applies to primary care and common misconceptions about medicines. Pharmacological principles and mechanisms of action for frequently used drugs in primary care will be covered.

Current Themes in Cardiology - 21 July 2009

This seminar will be direced by Professor Norman Sharpe and will provide an update on the management of common cardiovascular conditions including CV risk (primary and secondary prevention), hypertension and lipids, acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias and heart failure.

Pre-eclampsia, Diabetes and Pregnancy Complications - 7 August 2009

Presented by Marion Hunter and with input from relevant experts, this seminar examines the evidence to date regarding pre-eclampsia and will review diabetes in pregnancy.
