Lifelong Learning Role At The Super City
First published in ACE Aotearoa Adult and Community Education Summer Newsletter 2011 Auckland City Council has appointed a Lifelong Learning Advisor. Daena Walker took up the position in September this year. It is a new role and involves working with the 54 libraries which now fall within Auckland City.

"Here a Moo, there a Cluck" - Drama In The Library
If you visit the Children’s section of Tauranga City Libraries when there is a school or preschool class visiting, you may see some of the children dressed up and acting out a story. The teachers and parents love it and take lots of photos. The children love it and don’t even notice what they are learning – self-confidence, public speaking, acting and familiarity with classic stories. It also provides a useful break from sitting still and listening.
